Bates senior forward Terence O'Connell was named the Bates Male Player of the Week and NESCAC Men's Soccer Player of the Week for Sept. 26, 2005.O'Connell tallied two goals and added an assist in a 2-0 week for Bates against NESCAC foes.

On Saturday O'Connell netted the decisive goal in double overtime against Connecticut College, scoring on a direct kick in the 107th minute of play for a 2-1 Bobcat win.

O'Connell followed the feat on Sunday with a goal and an assist in Bates' 4-1 victory over Trinity.

Through the two contests, O'Connell took a total of nine shots.

Kim Alexander '07
Bates junior forward Kim Alexander was named the Bates Female Player of the Week and the NESCAC Women's Soccer Player of the Week on Sept. 26, 2005.Alexander tallied four goals, all in NESCAC action, as the Bobcats rolled to a 3-0 week overall. On Saturday against Connecticut College, Alexander found the back of the net twice, helping her squad to a 6-1 decision.

On Sunday, Alexander matched her scoring output from the previous outing, garnering two goals in a 7-1 victory against Trinity.

To date, Alexander leads the Bobcats in scoring with five goals and an assist, and is second in the NESCAC in goals per game (1.20).
