Dylan MacNamara '07
Bates senior wide receiver Dylan MacNamara(San Francisco, Calif.) was a bright spot in the Bobcats' 23-14 loss at Bowdoin on Saturday.MacNamara, a Second Team All-NESCAC selection in 2005, caught 10 passes from quarterback Brandon Colon and accumulated a career-high 133 receiving yards. His previous best was a 107-yard effort last season against Bowdoin, a game in which he recorded 11 catches, one shy of the Bates single-game record.

MacNamara is currently ranked third in the New England Small College Athletic Conference, and 34th in Division III, in receptions per game, at 5.9. He is also seventh in the NESCAC in receiving yards per game, at 55.7.

Rachel Judson '07
Senior Rachel Judson(Denver, Colo.) led the Bobcats over the 6-kilometer course at Mount Greylock High School in 24:36, good for 48th place overall out of 242 competitors.Bates placed 11th out of 35 teams Saturday at the ECAC Division III Women's Cross Country Championships, hosted by Williams College. With 329 points, they were 63 points better than their performance at ECACs in 2005.

Some of Bates' top runners were held out of the race in preparation for next Saturday's New England Championships.

Following Judson in the race were first-yearAlison Leonard (North Granby, Conn.), right behind Judson with a 51st place time of 24:37, first-year Ngoc Pham (Sharon, Mass.) in 67th, sophomore Andie Bisceglia (Durham, Conn.) in 76th, junior Caroline Ginsberg (Belfast, Maine) in 87th, senior Erin Bougie (New Sweden, Maine) in 94th and sophomore Allie Goldstein (Needham, Mass.) in 129th.
