HADLEY, Mass. -- Nine Bates students were named to the 2015 NESCAC Fall All-Sportsmanship Team, announced Tuesday by the New England Small College Athletic Conference.

The student-athlete selected must be in good academic standing and a member of the team at the conclusion of the season in order to be eligible for selection.

Bates' representatives on the team include one All-NESCAC performer in his sport, men's golf junior captain Brad Rutkin (Great Neck, N.Y.), and one All-Maine performer in men's cross country senior Gregg Heller (Walla Walla, Wash.). With the honor being opened up to women's golf for the first time this year, senior captain Jessica Plotnikov (Brooklyn, N.Y.) became Bates' first women's golf All-Sportsmanship honoree.
