The Bobcats added two in the seventh when Hogan doubled after senior Casey McCormack (Keene, N.H.) drew a walk to lead off. Senior Brian Mahoney (Sudbury, Mass.) drove in McCormack with a single, and Hogan came home on a fielder's choice by senior Erik Hood (Berlin, N.H.).

First-year righthander Ryan Heide (Medfield, Mass.) got his first starting nod of the season for Game 2 and took the loss to drop to 0-2. The Bobcats plated two runs in the eighth when Buckley and Hood led off with back-to-back singles. Senior Rob Patton (Darien, Conn.) doubled to score Buckley and Hood came home on a sac fly by Simon.

First-year Paul Chiampa (Bryantville, Mass.) threw 1 2/3 innings of relief, allowing two runs, and junior Chuck Murphy-Romboletti (Holyoke, Mass.) came on for the final two innings, allowing one unearned run.
