Bates Winter Baseball Clinic to be held Jan. 16th and 17th
Coach Edwin Thompson
LEWISTON, Maine -- Bates College head baseball coach Edwin Thompson, his coaching staff and his Bobcat players will once again run a winter skills clinic on Jan. 16th and 17th.
The camp will have two sessions: one will go from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. for kids ages 7-12. The second session will go from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. for players ages 13-18.
The cost of the camp is $40.00 for one day or $60.00 for both.
The clinic will be held on the campus of Bates College in the Gray Athletic Building, a 27,000-square-foot facility with two full-size batting cages.
Space is limited, with 40 spots available in each age group. Each player will receive a T-shirt and have the opportunity to win other prizes.
This two-day clinic is designed to help players take their game to the next level. Instruction will include the proper techniques of hitting, pitching, catching, infield, outfield, base running, and team defense. There will be competitions and competitive situations in which players can apply the skills learned in first part of the day. We are committed to providing the best possible instruction to each individual in all phases of the game.
