Coach Wynn Hohlt
LEWISTON, Maine -- Bates College head field hockey coach Wynn Hohlt presents two one-day field hockey clinics open to players in first grade through senior year in high school. The clinic for players in first through eighth grade will be held on Saturday, May 16 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. A second clinic will be held on Sunday, May 17 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. for players in high school.
The day clinics offers personal and group instruction in all phases of the game of field hockey, featuring drills to emphasize the techniques learned in daily instruction. The staff will provide proper instruction and drills to enhance the skill set of each player. The clinics will emphasize various skills based on age and ability. Young players will be taught basic skills and drills. High school players will be taught more advanced skills and concepts and will participate in full field game play.
Hohlt, a former collegiate goalkeeper at Williams College, is entering her eighteenth year as a college coach and her twelfth year as the coach of the Bates Bobcats. The rest of the clinic staff will be comprised of Bates coaches and players.
Each player will receive an official clinic T-shirt.
Pick-up and drop-off will be at Campus Avenue Turf Field, the home of the Bates Bobcats. The field is located on the corner of Campus Avenue and Central Avenue in Lewiston, Maine.
