Neal leads women golfers at Williams Fall Classic
WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. -- First-year Mimi Neal shot a second-day score of 92 for a two-day total of 181, as she led the Bates College women's golf team Sunday at the Williams Fall Classic.
The tournament, played at par 71, 5,802-yard Taconic Golf Course on the campus of Williams College, also doubled as the NESCAC Women's Golf Qualifier. In NESCAC scoring the Middlebury Panthers were first, Williams second, Amherst third and Bates fourth.
Neal (Danvers, Mass.) tied for 40th place in the tournament as Bates finished 13th out of 14 teams. Middlebury won the tournament with a 642, led by Courtney Mazzei's score of 149.
Following Neal for Bates were first-year Brigid Dunn (Milford, Ohio) with a 188, senior captain Liz Wilcox (South Glastonbury, Conn.) at 192, sophomore Christine McCall (Lowell, Mass.) at 228 and sophomore Libby King (South Portland, Maine) at 241.
