Women's golf season concludes at Williams Fall Classic





WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. -- Bates senior Brigid Dunn (Milford, Ohio) shot a two-day combined score of 185 to lead the Bates women's golf team at the two-day Williams Fall Classic, played at Taconic Golf Club.

The Bobcats finished 10th among the 10 complete teams there, with a two-day, four-player combined score of 832. The tournament also constitutes the NESCAC championship, and Bates finished fifth in the conference behind Williams, Middlebury, Amherst and Bowdoin.

Dunn shot a 90 on Saturday and a 95 on Sunday to place 28th best among 54 players overall at the perenially competitive tournament, which included team champion Williams, Middlebury, Vassar and Amherst. Fellow senior captains Mimi Neal (Danvers, Mass.) and Tessa Pals (Wilmette, Ill.) came in next for the Bobcats, at 190 and 202, respectively. Senior Libby King (South Portland, Maine) shot a 259 and first-year Alexandra Desjardins (Auburn, Maine) shot a 260.
