WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. - Sophomore Kelly Wassarman paced the Bobcats women's golf team at the Williams Fall Invitational over the weekend as she finished tied for 54th in the 88-player field. The Bobcats finished in 13th place out of 15 teams.
Host Williams College won the event easily as they shot +49 as a team, beating second-place New York University by 26 strokes.
The Bobcats finished eight strokes back of rival Bowdoin College in the event.
Cordelia Chan of Williams College finished first overall with a score of +9 over the two days. Her scores of 74 and 77 were good enough to win the individual title.
For the Bobcats, Wassarman shot a 94 in the first round on Saturday and a team-best 91 in the second round on Sunday.
The Williams Invitational was played in conjuction with the first-ever NESCAC Women's Golf Championship. Of the 30 players competing in the NESCAC Championship, Wassarman finished 21st.
