MIDDLEBURY, Vt. -- Led by junior Kelly Wassarman and senior Emily Plotnikov, the Bates women's golf team finished in 11th place out of 15 teams Sunday as the Middlebury Women's Golf Invitational concluded at Ralph Myrhre Golf Course.
Wassarman (Middleton, Wis.) followed up her first-day score of 85 on Saturday with a 100 on Sunday, finishing in a tie for 52nd place among 86 players with a combined score of 185.
Bobcat captain Plotnikov (Brooklyn, N.Y.) finished in 66th place with scores of 100 and 102 respectively. Chelsea Anglin '19 (Dayton, N.J.) finished in 69th place with a two-day score of 209 and senior captain Sarah Centanni (Hingham, Mass) tied for 71st with her two-day count of 213.
The Bobcats combined for a team score of 809, finishing ahead of Johnson & Wales (828), Westfield State University (849), Rhode Island College (858), and Husson (898).
The Middlebury Invitational was played in conjuction with the second-ever NESCAC Women's Golf Championship. Of the 29 players competing in the NESCAC Championship, Wassarman finished tied for 25th.
The Middlebury Invitational marks the conclusion of the season for the Bates women's golf team.
