LEWISTON, Maine -- The Bates College men's squash team is down to its three final, and arguably most important, matches of the 2010-11 season this weekend, when the Bobcats head to Harvard University for the College Squash Association Men's Team Nationals.
Bates (17-9), seeded 15th in the Hoehn Cup (B Division) bracket, takes on No. 10 Penn (4-8), the defending Hoehn Cup champion, in the quarterfinal round on Friday at 11:30 a.m. at Belmont Hill School. The winner of the match will face either No. 11 Williams or No. 14 Middlebury in the semifinals on Saturday. Penn defeated Bates 9-0 at Yale on Dec. 4.
