Bedell beats opponent at No. 8 Franklin & Marshall

LANCASTER, Pa. -- The Bates men's squash team fell by an 8-1 score to the eighth-ranked team in the country, the Diplomats of Franklin & Marshall College, on Saturday.

The 16th-ranked Bobcats (2-3) play Columbia on Sunday at StreetSquash in Harlem, N.Y.

Bates junior Eric Bedell (Brooklyn, N.Y.) scored the Bobcats' lone point, coming back from a 2-0 deficit to defeat Alex Arjoon 3-2 at the No. 4 position. Sophomore captain Kristian Muldoon (Paget, Bermuda) played another great match against F&M's Guilherme de Melo at the No. 2 position, winning the first two games by 11-9 scores before bowing out 3-2.
