Men's squash sweeps Colby in Waterville, 9-0

WATERVILLE, Maine -- First-year Ahmed Abdel Khalek (Cairo, Egypt) won his match at the first position and junior Kristian Muldoon (Paget, Bermuda) was a winner at the second spot for the 15th-ranked Bates College men's squash team in a 9-0 win over 24th-ranked Colby College on Wednesday night at the Dunaway Courts.

Bates (13-9) won seven of nine individual matches by 3-0 scores, and the other two by 3-1 counts. Senior captain Walter Cabot (Dover, Mass.) took a 3-1 win at the third spot and needed a 15-13 final game to pull out the victory.

The inaugural Division III Invitational Tournament scheduled for this weekend at Bowdoin has been cancelled, so Bates next competes at College Squash Association Team Nationals Feb. 22-24 at Yale.
