Berg wins twice as men's tennis falls 6-3 at No. 15 Trinity

HARTFORD, Conn. -- No. 15 Trinity College posted a 6-3 win over the 24th-ranked Bates men's tennis team on Friday, rising to 9-4 overall and 4-2 in NESCAC play.

The Bobcats (6-7, 1-2 NESCAC) started off by winning one out of three doubles matches, as first-year Tim Berg (Bradenton, Fla.) and sophomore Kyle DeSisto (Cohasset, Mass.) outplayed Charles McConnell and Matthew Mackin 8-5.

Berg went on to defeat David Dessau 6-4, 6-4 at third singles, while sophomore Rob Crampton (Wilton, Conn.) outfought Rich Bonfiglio in a battle at second singles, 6-3, 2-6, (10-7).

The Bobcats play at NESCAc foe Connecticut College tomorrow at 2 p.m.
