HADLEY, Mass. -- Bates College junior Rich McNeil was named NESCAC Field Performer of the Week for the second time this season on Monday, the New England Small College Athletic Conference announced.

McNeil (Lawrence, Mass.) earns the honor after claiming top honors in the Hammer and Discus throws on Saturday at the 2009 NESCAC Track & Field Championships. McNeil recorded a distance of 52.09 meters in the Hammer and 43.11 meters in the Discus. He was also second in the Shot Put (15.29).
