Bates junior Adedire Fakorede (Newark, N.J.), a two-time All-American, will make his fourth career NCAA Championship appearance and compete in the discus throw and hammer throw for the Bobcats. He is seeded second out of 20 athletes in the discus throw, based on his personal-best mark of 177-9, recorded Thursday at the MIT Last Chance Qualifying Meet. Aurora College's Ryan Njegovan is the top seed at 189-1.

Fakorede will compete in the hammer as the ninth seed, based on his career-best mark of 189-9 recorded at the NESCAC Championships.
