Thirteen Bates crew members earn NICR academic honor

LEWISTON, Maine -- Six members of the Bates men's rowing team and seven more members of the Bates women's rowing team have earned inclusion on the ECAC/NIRC Stewards' All Academic Team, announced today.

The award goes to varsity letter-winning athletes on teams that competed in last weekend's National Invitational Collegiate Regatta/ECAC Rowing Championships in Worcester, Mass., who have reached sophomore academic standing and have maintained a cumulative grade point average of 3.35 or better.

Bates men receiving the honor are junior Harry Chung (Naperville, Ill.), senior James Grant (Chevy Chase, Md.), senior Glenn Kelly (Chevy Chase, Md.), senior Dan LaFontaine (Concord, N.H.), sophomore Jack Mulvaney (Bow, N.H.) and sophomore Oliver Scholle (Chestnut Hill, Mass.).

Bates women receiving the honor are sophomore Allison DiSalvo (Lowell, Mass.), senior Danica Doroski (Wayne, Pa.), junior Ellen Patterson (St. Louis Park, Minn.), junior Hannah Richardson (Concord, Mass.), sophomore Haley Sive (Glenville, N.Y.), senior Lindsay Thomson (West Hartford, Conn.) and junior Emma White (Bainbridge Island, Wash.).
