Beaulieu earns NESCAC Player of the Week honors

HADLEY, Mass. -- Bates College first-year guard/forward Allie Beaulieu was named NESCAC Women's Basketball Player of the Week on Monday by the New England Small College Athletic Conference.

In a 2-2 week for the Bobcats, Beaulieu (Swampscott, Mass.) scored a team-high 17.0 points per game while shooting 27-48 (.563) from the field, including a sparkling 9-for-17 (.529) from behind the arc, and a 5-of-5 performance from the line. She also added 5.0 rebounds, 2.5 rebounds, 1.0 blocked shots and 1.0 steals per game. Beaulieu leads all rookies in the NESCAC in scoring at 13.2 points per game. Her most impressive performance came in a  loss at Tufts, as she was 9-for-11 (.818) overall, 4-for-4 from beyond the arc, and 1-for-1 at the line to finish with a career-best 23 points.

This is the second weekly award Beaulieu has garnered this season. On Dec. 14 she was named the Maine Rookie of the Week by the MWBCA.
