LEWISTON, Maine -- Bates junior Nina Davenport was named Maine Co-Player of the Week by the Maine Women's Basketball Coaches Association on Wednesday for the week ending Dec. 4, the second straight week the award has gone to a Bobcat.

Davenport (Freeport, Maine) averaged 17.5 points, 7.5 rebounds, and 2.5 assists in a 1-1 week for the Bobcats. She shares the award with Husson senior Chandler Guerrette.

The 5-foot-11 forward had 22 points and 13 rebounds in last Monday's 60-57 victory over the University of New England. She shot 14-for-30 from the floor and 6-for-13 from beyond the arc for the week.

Davenport ranks second in the NESCAC in scoring average (14.5 points per game) and is tied for fifth in rebounding (8.0). She is also eighth in the league in blocked shots per game (1.3).

This is Davenport's second time winning Maine Player of the Week honors. A week ago, senior Allie Coppola (Tarrytown, N.Y.) was also named MWBCA Co-Player of the Week.
