HADLEY, Mass. -- Bates College junior forward Olivia Amdur was named First Team All-NESCAC on Thursday, as the New England Small College Athletic Conference released its all-conference teams in women's soccer.

Amdur (Chicago, Ill.) led the Bobcats in scoring with 18 points on eight goals, five of which were game-winners, and a pair of assists. Her eight goals are the most by a Bobcat in one season since Julie Brown '09 also scored eight goals in 2008.

"Liv is incredibly deserving of the First Team All-NESCAC nod," Bates head coach Kelsy Ross said. "She can finish, she can serve a ball, and most impressively, she also defends with a tenacity that most forwards don't have. We're proud of her growth as a player and we're already looking forward to what 2018 has in store for her and her teammates."

A Second Team All-NESCAC selection the past two years, Amdur becomes the first Bates women's soccer player since 2006 to be named First Team All-NESCAC.

Some of Amdur's highlights this season included: scoring the game-winning goal in Bates' 1-0 win at Hamilton, assisting on the game-winning goal in Bates' 1-0 win at Wesleyan, scoring the Bobcats' lone goal in their 1-1 draw on the road against eventual NESCAC champion and then No. 4 nationally ranked Williams, and tallying a pair of goals in the Bobcats' final match of the season, a 2-0 victory over Colby.

Amdur becomes the women's soccer team's first three-time All-NESCAC selection since the duo of Kim Alexander '07 and Meg Coffin '07. Alexander was a four-time All-NESCAC selection during her career.

The Bobcats finished the 2017 season with a record of 7-7-1, their second .500 or better season in the last three years.
