KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- Junior forward Olivia Amdur was named to the NCAA Division III All-New England Region Third Team by United Soccer Coaches on Wednesday.
Amdur (Chicago, Ill.) led the Bobcats in scoring with 18 points on eight goals, five of which were game-winners, and a pair of assists. Her eight goals are the most by a Bobcat in one season since Julie Brown '09 also scored eight goals in 2008.
Earlier this month Amdur became the first Bates women's soccer player since 2006 to be named First Team All-NESCAC. She earned a Second Team All-NESCAC nod the past two seasons.
This is Amdur's first All-New England selection. Allison Hill '17 was the last Bates women's soccer player to be named to an All-Region team. Hill earned a Second Team All-New England nod in 2015.
Some of Amdur's highlights this season included: scoring the game-winning goal in Bates' 1-0 win at Hamilton, assisting on the game-winning goal in Bates' 1-0 win at Wesleyan, scoring the Bobcats' lone goal in their 1-1 draw on the road against eventual NESCAC champion and then No. 4 nationally ranked Williams, and tallying a pair of goals in the Bobcats' final match of the season, a 2-0 victory over Colby.
The Bobcats finished the 2017 season with a record of 7-7-1, their second .500 or better season in the last three years.
United Soccer Coaches, formerly the NSCAA, was founded in 1941 and is the largest community for soccer coaches in the world.
