Indoor Track: Co-captain.... Gained her second NCAA All-American award, finishing sixth at indoor nationals in the 800 meters.... At Open New Englands, Alexander finished in fifth in the 800-meter run at 2:14.69, just .10 seconds behind Williams' Ariel Williams and .88 seconds ahead of the University of Connecticut's Keelan King; Alexander's time broke the former Bates indoor 800 record of 2:15.22 set by Ashley Wentworth '06 in 2006, giving her a ninth record for her indoor and outdoor track and field career; the 4 by 400-meter relay quartet of Izzy Alexander, Dana Lindauer, Molly Radis and Jen Marino qualified provisionally for the NCAA Championships, finishing in 3:57.19 for 13th place out of 21 teams and breaking the former program record of 4:00.19 set in 2006 by Kathleen Nugent '06, Danielle Touhey '06, Izzy Alexander and Wentworth.... Qualified for the 2008 Division III New England Indoor Track and Field Championships in the Bates pentathon at the beginning of the season, scoring 2,625 points.... At New Englands, helped Bates' 4x400-meter relay team finished third in 4:03.62, the No. 2 performance in Bates history (Izzy Alexander, Molly Radis, Dana Lindauer and Jen Marino).... At State of Maine Championships, won the 600 in 1:40.16, .28 seconds ahead of USM's Christa Hutchinson, and was fourth in the 55-meter hurdles; Izzy Alexander, first-year Dana Lindauer, Jen Marino and Molly Radis won the 4x400 relay by over eight seconds ahead of runner-up Bowdoin, in 4:08.21.
Outdoor Track: Co-captain... Named to the 2008 ESPN The Magazine Academic All-District women's track & field/cross country team.... Named to U.S. Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association's 2008 Academic All-America team, by virtue of qualifying for the NCAA Championships while maintaining the requisite grade point average of 3.25.... Named the 2007-08 Bates Female Athlete of the Year in April.... Earned her third NCAA All-America award this year with a sixth-place showing in the 400-meter hurdles (61.91) at outdoor nationals in Oshkosh, Wisconsin, breaking her own Bates record.... At ECACs, Alexander won the 400-meter hurdles (1:02.87) and helped the 4 by 400 relay team of Alexander, Jen Marino, Dana Lindauer and Amy Rosania to an eighth-place finish (4:05.10).... The 4 by 400 relay team also finished in 13th at Open New Englands (4:04.84).... Alexander also ran the 100-meter hurdles at Open New Englands in 16.61 seconds, putting her in a tie for 27th place out of 32.... At New England Division III Championships, Bates finished sixth out of 16 teams in the 4 by 400-meter relay, as Dana Lindauer, Amy Rosania, Izzy Alexander and Jen Marino finished in 4:06.96... Alexander also won the 400-meter hurdles at both the NESCAC and New England Division III Outdoor Championships.
Indoor Track: Competed at the pentathalon and scored 2,705 points for first place qualifyng for New England Division III Championships and ECACs...on the 13th of January Alexander won the pole vault (8-0), the 55-meter hurdles (9.76 seconds) and the 600 meters (1:44.36) qualifying for New England Div. IIIs for the 600...was a member of the winning distance medley relay team at Tufts, won second place in the 500 to qualify for Div. III and ECAC championships, and qualified for New Englands in the 55m hurtles...won the 600m at the State meet with a time of 1:39.22, the second fastest in Bates history, qualifying for ECACs...ran on the team that broke the school record in the indoor distance medley relay...won the pentathalon at New Englands, and at Open New Englands broke her own record in the 500m and ran on the 4X800 team that also broke a school record...ran with the distance medley again at ECACs where they again broke their record winning the event and going on to compete in the NCAA championship meet where they were named All-Americans for their 10th place finish.
Outdoor Track: Won the 100m hurdles in 16.84 seconds qualifying for NESCACs and New Englands, and the 400 hurdles in 1:05.25 qualifying for the all-division Open New Englands, and was on the winning 4X400 relay team...at the Aloha Relays Alexander won the heptathlon and qualified for ECACs, and also won the 100m hurtles...qualified with the 4X400 relay team for ECACs also earning All-NESCAC honors in the 400m hurtles...At New Englands won the title for women's heptathlon, and helped the 4X800 relay team place second with a time of 9:25.9, the second fastest in Bates history...finished fifth in the 400m hurtles at Open New Englands...at ECACs Alexander placed fifth in the 400m hurtles with a time of 1:03.14, beating her own record and earning her the right to compete at Nationals.
Indoor Track: Finished third in the Bates Pentathlon...Qualified for New England Division III Championships in pentathlon (2, 479 points) in the Bates Pentathlon on December 3rd, and the 55 hurdles (9.5 seconds) and long jump (15-9) in the Southern Maine Invitational on January 14th at USM...Ran the fourth-fastest 500 meter time in Bates history (1:22.14) at the Tufts Invitational on January 21st, qualifying for New England Division III Championships, Open New Englands, and ECAC Championships...Member of the school record-breaking 4 by 400 relay team (4:00.19) in Open New Englands at Boston University on February 24, breaking a 16 year old school record for the second time.
Outdoor Track: At the Bates Invitational on April 15th, ran fourth-best time in Bates history for the 100 meter hurdles (16.28) and qualified for the all-division Open New Englands in the 400 meter hurdles (1:05.27)...Becomes second-best Bates heptathlon athlete of all time in the Aloha Relays at Bowdoin on April 22nd (3,682 pts)...Won the 400 hurdles event in the NESCAC Outdoor Track and Field Championships at Bowdoin on April 29th (104.95)...At the Division III New Englands meet in Springfield, MA on May 4th, she became the second-best Bates 400 hurdles competitor of all time (1:04.59)...At the Open New England Championships on May 13th, competed in the 400 meter hurdles (1:05.21), placing 9th; also a member of the 4 by 400 relay team, which placed 13th (4:10.40)...At ECAC Championships on May 19th, placed 7th in the 400 meter hurdles (1:04.79) and ran on the 4 by 400 relay team (4:02.52), which finished fourth.
